First demo

In this demo, the Pendubot falls freely. One can notice that the system is very chaotic.

Second demo

In this demo, we first swing-up the Pendubot to the down-up equilibrium. Then we balance it around this point before driving it to the up-up equilibrium. We balance it around the up-up equilibrium and finally the safety-net catches it when we stop the balancing controller.

Third demo

In this demo, we first swing-up the Pendubot to the up-up equilibrium. Then we balance it around this point before driving it to the down-up equilibrium. Then, we drive it back to the up-up equilibrium and finally the safety-net catches it when we slam it down.
